Hello Fellow Elks!
We are moving forward with good events with our Lodge and new House Committee. I would like to thank all that helped with our Fish Fry on Friday. We had a great time; the food was great and there was Karaoke. Thanks to Dan Twyford for cooking the fish!
The Father’s Day dinner in the lounge was tasty, live music, and oh! Don’t forget the cigars! I would like to thank all the other lodges that came out to support us- and believe me- we will support your lodges, as well.
Thanks to Stu and Jennie Howitt who cooked; Maureen, Lucille, Geneva, and Beverly who served, Jerry Carter who helped with dishes and cleanup. Also, thanks to Shane the Hammer, for playing live music for us- we will be seeing more of him in the future.
We had a several donations: Frank Sellers donated a Bottle of Scotch, Joe Bland a bottle of bourbon, and helped Lisa with the basket drawing, donated by Neece Anderson, Patrick Keating donated cigars, and I donated the cigars & bourbon used for tasting. PDD Jim Blanchard, from Hollywood West Lodge #2365, won the basket.
Congratulations, Jim! I apologize if I forgot to thank anyone else who helped. Be on the lookout for up-and-coming events – and just plain fun in our lodge! We are all about families, members, charity, and community.
The Firecracker Picnic is open to all in the community. Please let everyone know as we move forward! A member once said to me, “Open the window and let some fresh air in”. So come on in and be part of a great charitable organization!
